Motorola, a part of Lenovo, on Wednesday said the latest version of Moto E will support both 4G LTE and 3G networks.
The price of the 3G variant will be $119.99 or Rs 7,431.
Motorola said the 4G LTE smartphone version of Moto E will be priced at $149.99 or Rs 9,290. The new Moto E will be available in over 50 countries in Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia. It will be available in India shortly.
Recently, IDC, a market research agency, has suggested handset vendors in India to focus on 4G smartphones.
Online channels are pushing the demand for 4G smartphones. Lenovo on Wednesday said it sold 20,000 units of A6000 4G enabled smartphone in 4 seconds on the fourth sale date. With this sale, the company sold 80,000 units of Lenovo A6000 till now.
Moto E smartphone features 4.5-inch qHD display with Anti-smudge coating, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a pixel resolution of 245 ppi. The Moto E 4G LTE and 3G models are powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, with Adreno 306 and 400MHz GPU and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
The difference between the two variants is that the 4G LTE is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and its 3G variant is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor.
Moto E 3G and 4G LTE handsets offer 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage capacity. The storage capacity of this handset can be expandable up to 32GB via microSD.
Motorola said Moto E handsets feature 5MP rear/ VGA front camera. Its 2390mAh battery lasts up to 24 hours. On the connectivity front, the Moto E 3G and LTE models support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0LE, GPS/ A-GPS and GLONASS.
