Microsoft launches Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL in India

Microsoft has launched the Lumia 640 dual SIM and the Lumia 640 XL dual SIM. The phones will selling at a price of Rs 11,999 and Rs 15,799 respectively.

The company first showcased both devices at MWC 2015 along with their single SIM and 3G versions.

Both device feature Microsoft features and apps such as Cortana, Skype, Office, Outlook, and OneDrive. They will also the Windows 10 update later this year.

Both phones will runs Windows 8.1 with Lumia Denim update out-of-the-box. They are powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 1GB RAM.

The Lumia 640 Dual SIM features a 5-inch HD IPS LCD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

It comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 0.9MP front-facing camera.

The Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM on the other hand sports a large 5.7-inch HD IPS LCD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

It is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with Zeiss optics and a 5MP front camera. Both devices have 8GB internal storage capacity.

The Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM is backed by a 3000mAh battery, while the Lumia 640 Dual SIM packs a 2500mAh battery.
