Micromax has unveiled its Canvas Selfie smartphone. The device will be selling at a price of Rs 15,999 in Indian market.
The device was announce in December last year and will go on sale for the customers. The smartphone features a faux leather rear finish.
The Canvas Selfie sports a 4.7-inch HD IPS display with 720×1280 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
It is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box and supports dual-SIM.
The device has a 13MP rear as well as front camera, both accompanied by LED flash modules and Sony sensors.
The camera tools include eye enhancement; face slimming; skin smoothening; teeth whitening; remove oil; fade dark circles, and make-up.
The Canvas Selfie has 16GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card up to 32GB.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, and 3G. It is backed up by a 2300mAh battery.
In January, Micromax launched Canvas Hue smartphone for a retail price of Rs 10,999.
Main features of Canvas Hue include Android KitKat 4.4.2 OS, 5-inch AMOLED HD display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels, 1.3 GHz quad core processor, 8MP Auto Focus rear camera with Sony Sensor and click spectacular selfies with the 2MP front camera, 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM, and expandable memory of up to 32GB.
Canvas Hue’s 3000 mAh battery delivers 30-day battery back-up. The phone will be upgraded to Android Lollipop 5.0 through FOTA soon.
The dual SIM based Canvas Hue has features including voice search, Google Drive, Hangouts for video calls, smart contact prioritization etc.
Despite having lower price than Canvas Selfie, the Canvas Hue offers a bigger battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
The Canvas Hue also has a bigger display compared to Canvas Selfie. The Canvas Selfie has the lead when it comes to processor and RAM of the device.
The Canvas Selfie also has better rear and front camera than the Canvas Hue. Both devices have same expandable memory and connectivity options.
