LAVA International on Monday said its Iris X1 smartphone will come with an upgraded 8 GB internal memory at the earlier price of Rs 7,999.
Lava Iris X1 smartphone is currently contributing to 30 percent sales in Lava smartphone portfolio by volume.
The 8 GB internal memory is also expandable up to 32GB via micro-SD card.
Lava Iris X1 features the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat, 1.2 GHz quad core Broadcom BCM23550 processor powered by 1GB RAM and 1800 mAh battery.
The company said Iris X1 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS (854 x 480 pixels) display, 8.9 mm thickness and 138 grams in weight.
Iris X1 sports an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.4 µm pixel BSI+ sensor. Rear camera supports full HD (1080p) video recording and playback. It includes a 2.0-MP front-facing camera for video calling.
The dual SIM Iris X1 comes with 3G connectivity apart from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0 BLE (Bluetooth low energy), micro-USB and EDGE. It offers OTG support to enable file transfer through USB drive on the move.
Iris X1 is available in black and white colors.
Iris X1 8GB upgrade will be available online on Amazon.in, Flipkart & other online portals.
Lava has invested more than 25 crore in marketing this product across different media vehicles including the recent association with IIFA and the on-going association with India England series.
