Lava Iris X10 which was spotted online earlier has been officially launched at a price of Rs 11,500. It will be available via offline as well as online retailers.
The new smartphone packs a 5 inch HD IPS display with 720*1280 pixel resolution and has a pixel density of 293 ppi. It is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The chipset is unspecified in the listing. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
It boasts a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash, which is accompanied by a 5MP front facing camera. It has 16GB of internal storage capacity which is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card.
On the connectivity front the device has 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
It is juiced by a 2900mAh battery which claims to offer up to 15.3 hours of talk time and up to 849.2 hours of standby time.
In August, the company launched its Iris Atom 2 at a price of Rs.4,949. The handset comes with a 4.5-inch display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor.
The rear camera is a five-megapixel shooter equipped with panoramic capture modes and HDR while the front camera is a video graphics array (VGA) unit.
The Iris Atom 2 sports a 512 MB RAM unit and draws juice from a 1,750 mAh Li-ion battery. The device runs on Android Kitkat v4.4, and is upgradable to v5.1 Lollipop and also includes smart gesture control features.
In terms of storage, the smartphone comes with 8GB internal memory and is further expandable up to 32GB.
