HTC has expanded its Desire smartphone portfolio with the launch of its new Desire 828 Dual SIM. It is priced at CNY 1,599 and is available for pre-orders.
The company is yet to announce the plans to launch the smartphone outside the Chinese market.
The device sports a 5.5 inch full-HD IPS display with 1080*1920 and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC (clocked at 1.5GHz) paired 2GB of RAM.
It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with HTC Sense on the top. It is company’s first Desire-range handset to feature OIS (optical image stabilisation).
It packs a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, OIS, BSI sensor, and full-HD video recording. The handset packs an UltraPixel front camera with a BSI sensor.
The Desire 828 Dual SIM has 116GB of internal storage capacity which is expandable up to 2TB using a microSD card.
Connectivity options on the handset include Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G, Micro-USB and 4G LTE TDD connectivity with support for Indian networks.
The smartphone is fuelled by a 2800mAh battery and sensors include ambient light, accelerometer, compass, and magnetic sensors. It also features HTC BoomSound technology, which is complemented by Dolby Audio.
The company also announced its Desire 820G+ dual SIM smartphone in India at a price of Rs 19,990.
It comes with a 5.5 inch 720p HD display. It is powered by a octa core processor paired with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android with HTC Sense UI. the device measures 15.77*7.87*0.77 cm.
The device is equipped with a 13MP rear shooter with auto focus and is capable of taking 1080p videos. There is also an 8MP front camera.
The Desire 820G+ comes with 16GB of internal storage capacity which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
