Gionee has launched its Marathon M4 smartphone for the Indian customers. The smartphone will be selling at a price of Rs 15,499 and will be available through offline as well as online stores.
The highlight of the smartphone is its huge 5000 mAh battery which is largest battery in a sub Rs 15,000 smartphone. It also supports 4G LTE connectivity.
It is dual SIM smartphone that comes with a 5 inch HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.
The phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Gionee’s Amigo 3.0 UI on top. It is equipped with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and there is a 5MP front facing camera as well.
The device comes with 16GB of internal storage capacity, which is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. The phone will be available in Black and White colour options.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth options. The battery claims to provide up to 400 hours of standby time and 18 hours of talktime.

In May, the company also unveiled its Elife E8 smartphone in Beijing.
E8 has 23.7 MP rear camera, offering photographs up to 100 MP in resolution. It is the first Android smartphone to offer lossless zoom. Gionee aims to make it the best camera phone in the market.
