Smartphone vendor BlackBerry has partnered with Indian telecom service provider Idea Cellular to launch a special 1GB data plan for Idea postpaid customers.
Users with BlackBerry OS 7 devices subscribed to Idea cellular network can take advantage of BIS 1GB 2G plan at Rs 83 per month, with an annual rental plan of Rs 999.
Users can activate the plan just by sending a text message.
BlackBerry has moved to OS 10 platform. In order to help the brand reach out to a wider base of customers using Blackberry touch and QWERTY OS 7 devices, the company has brought the new scheme.
The new plan will allow the users to browse internet faster, messaging and mails enabling them to experience enhanced, productivity and collaboration on the go.
This offer is targeted to the users who roam overseas frequently and constantly use their BlackBerry device for mails, messaging and browsing.
DataSmart technology in BlackBerry smartphones lets the user to enable up to two times more web browsing and social networking and four times more email with fixe data plan.
“The new 1GB annual data plan will offer more value and convenience to BlackBerry OS7 users on the Idea network,” said Sashi Shankar, chief marketing officer, Idea Cellular.
