The Asus ZenFone Max, the latest ZenFone series smartphone which was announced in India earlier this month, will be going on sale in India on Friday. The smartphone will be available via online as well as offline retailers.
At a price of Rs. 9,999, the Asus ZenFone Max based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop), was already available for pre-order via Amazon India, Flipkart, and Snapdeal since its announcement in the Zen Festival. The Taiwanese company will now sell the smartphone via offline retail channels including the Asus Exclusive stores.
The USP of the phone, which also packs the Asus’s ZenUI software, is the battery, which is claimed to deliver 37.6 hours of 3G talk time or 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi Web browsing or 72.9 hours of music playback or 22.6 hours of video playback when fully charged.
The Asus Zenfone Max sports a 5.5-inch Gorilla Glass 4 HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor and has a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory with an optional expandable memory of 64GB.
With 13 MP rear PixelMaster camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens, dual-tone, dual-LED flash and laser auto-focus, along with a low-light mode that can capture up to 400 percent brighter photos at night or low light condition without utilizing the flash and a 5 MP front camera, the smartphone supports 4G LTE and has dual micro SIM slots, and a microSD slot.
Smartphones to which the Zenfone’s new model will be a competition include Lenovo Vibe P1, Moto G3, Intex Aqua Power HD, Gionee Marathon M4, and Lava Iris Fuel F1 etc.
