Intex has unveiled its new smartphone in the Aqua portfolio, the Aqua Young. The device is priced at Rs 5,090 and will be selling in dark grey, white, and champagne color variants.
The new smartphone packs a 5 inch FWVGA IPS display with 480*854 pixel resolution and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core (SC7731 chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali 400MP GPU. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
The device sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 0.3MP front facing camera. Other camera features include slow motion video recording, panorama, Volume up/down key for capturing image, and capture image during recording.
It has 8GB of internal storage capacity which is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card.
On the connectivity front the device offers Dual SIM (GSM+GSM), 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS with AGPS, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, Micro USB, and Bluetooth.
The Aqua Young measures 145.3 x 72 x 9.5 mm and weighs 158 grams. It is juiced by a 2500mAh battery that claims to offer up to 9 hours of talktime and up to 250 hours of standby time.
Previous offering from Intex was the Aqua Ace smartphone at a price of Rs 12,999.
The 4G-enabled Aqua Ace comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3-protected five-inch SUPER AMOLED HD display. At the core, the device is powered by a 3 GB RAM unit and a 1.3 GHz quad-core Mediatek (MT6735) chipset processor.
The device comes with an in-built 16 GB ROM with an expandable memory of up to 128 GB. The Ace comes with a one-year screen breakage warranty and a complementary bag pack and a smart or sensor-based flip cover.
