Nokia on Friday said it settled its patent dispute with HTC, the Taiwanese smartphone vendor.
Recently, Samsung and Cisco announced a similar patent agreement. Before that Ericsson and Samsung also settled their patent issues.
Nokia today said it settled all pending patent litigation with HTC, and entered into a patent and technology collaboration agreement.
As per the agreement, HTC will make payments to Nokia and the collaboration will involve HTC’s LTE patent portfolio, further strengthening Nokia’s licensing offering. The companies will also explore future technology collaboration opportunities.
Nokia did not share full terms of the agreement.
