Google’s Motorola Mobility, which will be sold to Lenovo for $2.9 billion, will launch Moto G smartphone in India on Wednesday on Flipkart e-commerce channel.
A press meet in Delhi on 5 February will be attended by Flipkart, its e-commerce partner, and Motorola Mobility team.
Motorola Mobility senior executives including Magnus Ahlqvist, corporate VP of EMEA Asia Pacific; Marcus Frost, senior marketing director, EMEA, and Punit Soni, VP, Software Product Management will attend press meet.
In addition, Sachin Bansal, co-founder and CEO of Flipkart and Binny Bansal, co-founder and COO of Flipkart will also be there.
Moto G smartphone was launched globally in November 2013. The price is $179 for 8GB model in the U.S. Specification of Moto G includes 4.5-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with quad-core CPU, and Android 4.3 Jellybean OS, etc.
In the US, Moto G will be sold on Motorola.com, with no contract, no SIM lock and an unlockable bootloader for $179 with 8GB of storage and $199 for 16GB. Moto G will also be available through various carriers and retailers. In addition, Motorola is offering a guaranteed upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat at the beginning of 2014.
