Please ready for your first Android smartphones from the Finnish smartphone vendor Nokia India. March 10 is likely to be the launch date.
This means, Nokia will not take long time to launch the budget smartphones in India. In fact, Nokia unveiled these Nokia X series of smartphones on the Android OS platform at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress 2014.
The Finnish phone major, which will be moving to the fold of Microsoft soon, has invited select media for a press meet in Delhi on Monday.
The press invitation does not say that it is launching Android phones.
The Nokia invitation says “Cordially invites you to Xperience a new beginning.”
Nokia India managing director P Balaji will attend the press meet in Delhi on Monday.
The Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL will feature Microsoft services like Skype, OneDrive and outlook. These budget smartphones are for both 2G and 3G markets.
We will update with the price of these cost effective smartphones.
