HTC One smartphone is set to receive the Android 4.3 update next month.
At present, the HTC One is on Android 4.1 OS.
Google released Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in July.
The HTC One has a 4.7-inch full HD display and dual front-facing stereo speakers.
HTC’s president Jason Mackenzie said certification requirements have slowed down the release of the upgrade.
The Android 4.3 upgrade brings numerous new features to Google’s mobile platform, from bug fixes for Bluetooth connections to an improved camera application designed to make adjusting settings quicker and easier.
Though the company has already updated its own Nexus family of devices to Android 4.3, its customers are lagging behind.
Meanwhile, 26 percent respondents to an online poll by GizmoLead.com prefer to choose HTC One as their preferred smartphone. Samsung Galaxy S4 came in at second with 23 percent votes.
