Microsoft Surface 2 priced at $449; Surface Pro 2 at $889

As we previously reported, Microsoft has come up with two refreshed Surface tablets – Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 in an event held in New York. The two tabs will be up for pre-order tomorrow and will be available in 21 markets (not for Indians) on October 22.

Unlike the previous Surface tablets, these two tabs don’t have a Microsoft logo at their back, just the name Surface in ‘Segoe’ font.

Now, if you talk about features, both tablets are coming with numerous apps, features and accessories. But the main thing which will amuse you is that these two tabs are the first devices to run on Windows RT 8.1.

Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2

The Microsoft Surface 2 is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor but on the other hand, Pro 2 has a powerful Intel Core i5 processor.

Both the covers –touch and type, are refreshed versions of their predecessors as they are light, thin and even backlit.

Microsoft has decided an amazing date –October 22 to release these devices in the wild. Don’t know why? Nokia is planning an event on the same day (probably for a phablet –Lumia 1520 or a tablet –Lumia 2520 aka Sirius).
