Panasonic India has entered the feature phone market by launching two new phones in the below Rs 2,000 price range.
The development signals that the feature phone segment is still in demand.
Recently, Maxx Mobile announced the launch of 26 phones on 26 January and 15 phones on 15 August in the Indian mobile phone market.
At present, Panasonic India does not feature in the top 5 smartphone market share list. Samsung, Micromax and Karbonn are the three top smartphone vendors in India which has around 900 million mobile subscribers.
Panasonic India has priced EZ240 and EZ180, at Rs 1,790 and Rs 1,350, respectively.
These new phones offer better battery life, Hindi support and security features like mobile tracker, security Inbox and application privacy.
