Device maker HTC has finally announced One mini 2, the compact variant of its flagship smartphone, HTC One(M8).
The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core chip and 1GB RAM, the phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC’s Sense 6 UI running on top complete with BlinkFeed home screen feed.
It will arrive in Europe, Middle East Africa and Asia starting June 2014 with availability varying by country and region.
It sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera on the phone.
One mini 2 features 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for expanding storage, along with a 2,100mAh battery. It is also equipped with the same BoomSound front speakers and amplifiers as the HTC One (M8).
One mini 2 will be available in the same Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver, and Amber Gold as the HTC One (M8).
It also doesn’t sport an UltraPixel Duo Camera or a dual LED flash unlike One (M8). However, HTC has put a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera on the phone.
The phone doesn’t feature an infrared blaster and Motion Launch gestures seen in One (M8), though it does include NFC connectivity.
