Panasonic has announced the launch of its Toughpad FZ-Y1 Tablet PC for the Indian market. It is touted as the world’s first 20 inch tablet PC with 4K resolution.
The Toughpad FZ-Y1 packs a 20 inch monitor 20-inch monitor featuring 230 pixels-per-inch IPSα LCD display.
It is powered by an Intel Core i5 vPro processor with 8 GB RAM and has multiple input ports.
It is packaged in a 12.5 mm slim and 2.41 kg light body, lightweight glass fiber chassis can be converted into desktop mode with the cradle accessory.
Panasonic’s flagship rugged durability is ensured by the toughened, scratch resistant glass, which can withstand drop resistance up to 76 cm.
The Windows 8.1 Pro operating system ensures high performance, security, and an intuitive touch experience, including multiple window viewing.
This new range of Toughpads is priced at Rs. 2.4 Lacs.

In August, the company introduced the Toughbook CF-54 semi rugged PC. These PC’s come with a slim design and are light weight and will be selling at a price of Rs 1,39,000.
The device measures 29.8 mm in thickness and weighs 1.99 kg. It is approximately 50% thinner and 25% lighter than the previous model CF-53.
It is powered by a 5th Generation Intel Core i5-5300U vPro processor with 3 MB cache, 2.3 GHz up to 2.9 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology with 4Gb RAM expandable up to 16Gb.
It comes with Spill Resistant Keyboard, vibration, shock resistant features. It is 2.5 feet drop shock resistant.
The Toughbook CF-54 offers up to 11 hours of battery backup and also has an option of hot swappable battery feature enabling users to change batteries without shutting down the computer.
