ZTE has launched ZTE V5, its premium smartphone for Indian customers. The device will be available exclusively on the e-commerce channel Snapdeal at a price of Rs 10,999.
V5 is a dual SIM smartphone with a 5-inch IPS OGS display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
The device boasts a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor with Adreno 305 graphics paired with 1 GB RAM.
V5 has a 3 mode camera, 13 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera. The camera has features such as zero shutter lag, focus lock. It has 5-element lens, f/2.2 aperture and Sony EXMOR RS sensor.
The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS skinned with the Nubia 2.0 UI. The screen of the smartphone is protected by Dragontail glass.
It has 4GB of internal storage that’s expandable via microSD to 32GB.
On the connectivity front it has 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
It is juiced up by a 2400mAh battery.

In 2013, ZTE shipped about 40 million smartphones, and targets to ship 60 million smartphones by the end of 2014.
ZTE is planning to expand service centers across India. Though ZTE smartphones are available in the open market from this year, the company could not make a mark in the Indian device market competing with Samsung, Apple, Micromax, Karbonn, Lava, etc.
ZTE V5 is most likely to compete with Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Asus ZenFone 5 and Motorola Moto G.
The smartphone comes with up to 1GB 2G/ 3G data per month for the first 3 months for prepaid Aircel subscribers with every purchase of the ZTE V5 smartphone as a promotional offer.
