Tablet maker Simmtronics has forayed into smartphone market with the launch of its XPAD range of smartphones in India after their launch in UAE market.
The launch of XPAD range of smartphones comes on the heels of the success of the company’s XPAD-Tablets. Simmtronics is the only company both in ‘Tablets’ and ‘Smartphone’s’ segment to be licensed by “ERICSSON” and hence has licensed access to launch 2G, 3G, 4G LTE products across the globe.
The company has also partnered with HCL Care to provide aftermarket services.
The smartphones are full-featured devices equipped with single core to superior Quad Core processor.
Simmtronics launched the smartphones first during GITEX 2013 and has got overwhelming response from Africa, Egypt, GCC and CIS countries.
Commenting on the launch of Simmtronics smartphones, Indrrajit Sabharwal, managing director, Simmtronics, said, “The Smartphone usability is increasing day by day , we decided to foray into the Smartphone segment with the launch of XPAD range of Smartphones in affordable price range, This innovatively designed device’s is enriched with a high end technology.”
Anticipating the growth in smartphone segment, Simmtronics is also gearing up for local production of the same. The Company is investing 200 crore in the Smart phone segment with 500 crore target revenue plan by this financial year end. Currently, with a turnover of 550 crore the company is targeting 800 crore revenue in the next fiscal.
The Simmtronics smartphone range comprises of FUNDROID, AMAZOID and SMARTDROID series of phones. The phones will be sold through all leading stores in India as well as e-commerce portals Snapdeal and Flipkart. Price details are not currently available.
