LG enters flagship devices battle in India with G3

The entry of LG G3, which was announced yesterday, has intensified the battle of flagship devices in Indian smartphone market, which is ruled by Samsung, Sony and HTC.

Priced at Rs 47,990, the smartphone comes with 5.5 inch quad HD display and is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core processor with 3 GB RAM. The device has 32 GB internal memory and a microSD slot for 128 GB.

The 4G smartphone that runs on Android KitKat operating system also has features such as 13 MP rear and 2.1 MP front cameras and a removable battery of 3000 mAh.

G3 has other features such as Kill Switch that helps the user to disable the handset during theft, smart keyboard and smart notice.

LG is offering Rs 3500 worth QuickCircle Case free and a one-time screen replacement worth Rs 6,500. Besides, the company is also offering its G Watch, which is originally priced at Rs 15,000.

Considering the offers along with G3, it is clear that customers would think twice before moving to other phones. However, LG has to compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2 and HTC One M8.

The 4G variant of Galaxy 5 comes at a price of Rs 53,500, which is slightly ahead of G3 price, giving G3 an advantage over Samsung. However, the advantage of Samsung is that Galaxy S5 has 16 MP cameras against 13 MP of G3. LG has a 3 GB ram, while Samsung has only 2 GB. Rest of the features of two phones are similar, barring some additional features in both the devices such as smart keyboard in LG and dust and water resistant in Galaxy S5.
