Mobile manufacturer LAVA International has launched its first 6 inch phablet, Magnum X604 at a price of Rs 11999.
The phablet sports a 6 inch multi-touch IPS display with HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels designed to bring users a better viewing experience to enjoy full HD movies and games on the phablet. Powered by Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the device is sleek and pocket-friendly with 8.9mm thickness and weighs 207 grams enabling ease of use.
Runs on 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, the phablet offers high performance capabilities to the users. Magnum X604 comes with an 8GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded further via micro-SD card slot. The device also has an 8 MP rear and 2 MP front cameras.
With this, Lava entered the phablet market and offers tough competition to Intex Aqua and Spice Stellar. Though Intex Aqua offers a better price, Magnum X604 comes with additional features such as better display and newer version of Android.
At a price of 10799, Intex comes with 5.9-inch capacitive touch display with a resolution of 480X800 pixels, Android 4.0 pre-installed and features an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 1.3-megapixel front camera. Spending few more bulks would enable the buyers to have a better phone with better facilities.
Meanwhile, Spice stellar comes with the similar features at a cost of Rs 13,999. However, it has a 5.3 inch screen against 6 inch screen of Mangum and Stellar is powered by Jelly bean against the latest KitKat version in Lava device.
The Magnum also has features such as GPS and Glonass support built-in together, which offers faster and accurate location and positioning services. The phablet comes with a long-lasting 2800mAh battery which can give up to 8 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time. Stellar and Intex offer much less back up with 2550 mAh and 2500 respectively mAh battery.
It offers dual SIM (3G+2G) capabilities and comes with a host of connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, EDGE and GPRS. Magnum X604 comes in white and black colors and will be available in retail chain stores and multi-brand outlets across India.
