At the CES 2014, Huawei announced that Ascend Mate2 4G smartphone comes with 4050 mAh battery.
The Chinese smartphone vendor did not announce launch plans and price details.
ZTE, Huawei’s Chinese rival, also announced a 4G phone at the CES 2014.
Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G’s massive battery is suitable to watch six downloaded movies or listen to up to 100 hours of music or enjoy a half-day of web surfing on a single charge.
Colin Giles, executive vice president, Huawei Consumer Business Group, said: “Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G is power-packed for the mobile generation who want non-stop entertainment on the go, such as the ability to snap and download photo albums in seconds or use their smartphone as their mobile office.”
Main specifications of Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G include quad-core 1.6 GHz processor that improves performance by more than 30 percent compared to other smartphones in its class. Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G phone has 6.1-inch IPS screen.
Ascend Mate2 4G is 9.5mm slim. It comes with Huawei’s Emotion UI 2.0.
In line with Samsung’s promotions, Huawei also says Ascend Mate2 4G has Floating Window function that gives multi-taskers access to notes, messages, calendar and calculator at any time.
Huawei’s Simple UI aids easy customization.
The smartphone’s Gloves Mode functionality supports use when wearing gloves and Driving Mode enables voice activation when on the road.
Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G’s 13-megapixel BSI rear camera features 2.0 aperture, enabling crystal clear and professional-quality photos. This apart, it has 5 MP front camera, with vertical panorama and Auto Face Enhancement, broadens pictorial horizons to create a fun-filled selfie experience.
