Mobile and wireless solution provider Celkon Mobiles has introduced their mid-range Millennium series smartphones Millennium Power Q3000 and Millennium Elite Q470 at Rs 8999 and Rs 11999 respectively.
Both the smartphones are powered by 1.3 GHz quad core processor, and runs on Android KitKat operating system. Both the millennium devices have 8 MP rear cameras with auto focus and 32 GB expandable memory.
Both the devices support 3G video calling, for which Q3000 has 1.3 MP front camera and Elite Q470 has 2 MP camera. Q3000 comes with a 5 inch display; whereas Elite Q470 has 4.7 inch HD, IPS and OGS display. Both the devices have sensors for gravity light and proximity.
Millennium Power Q3000 is powered by 3000 mAh battery, 1GB RAM and 4GB ROM. Q470, meanwhile has 1800 mAh battery 16 GB ROM and 1 GB RAM.
Y Guru, chairman and managing director, Celkon Mobiles said: “Currently India is facing a need-gap of slim smartphones with a long battery backup. Customers are facing a challenge to find smartphones with long battery backup. Extremely powerful phones are designed to run for 2 days even with usage of applications which currently no other phone offers.”
Both the smartphones, launched by IT Minister, Telengana, K.T.Rama Rao in Hyderabad, will be available in retail stores as well as in SnapDeal online market place. Millennium Power Q3000 will be available from July 16 onwards and Millennium Elite Q470 from July 21 onwards.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Celkon has inked a partnership with Google along with Intex for the Android One devices. Celkon is the fourth Indian company after Micromax, Karbonn and Spice to sign the pact with Google.
Celkon launched Celkon Campus, its first smartphone on Android KitKat platform a month ago. Priced at Rs 2,999 Campus is the cheapest KitKat smartphone available in Indian market so far.
