Galaxy J5 Prime is one of the most successful mid-segment smartphones of Samsung. The company first introduced the J5 Prime in 2016. After one year, there are rumors that the South-Korean tech giant might launch a new version of J5 Prime in December 2017. If reports are to be believed, the said device has been spotted on the US FCC recently.

The latest leaks suggest that handset might be powered by Samsung Exynos 7570 SoC processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. The device could come up with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
The upcoming smartphone might sport 12MP primary camera and 8MP snapper. Galaxy J5 Prime 2017 version expected to feature 5.5-inch AMOLED display and 2600 mAh battery.
J5 Prime (2017) will fall into mid-range smartphone category just like its preceder. Recently, companies like Huawei, Vivo, Gionee, and Xiaomi has launched a number of the smartphones in the same category. It is worth noting that the most of the recent launches by the mentioned companies comes with bezel-less 18:9 aspect ratio display. It will be interesting to see how Samsung’s J5 Prime will fare against these devices.
