Sony Xperia Z Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 are one of the large smartphones or we can say phablets which were introduced in 2013. As usual, they both run on Android.
Galaxy Mega 6.3 was launched with its brother Mega 5.8 in May end. Z Ultra’s price is not declared in India but Mega 6.3 comes around Rs 30,500.

Design & Display
Xperia Z Ultra is slightly bigger and heavier than Mega 6.3. But it is one of the slim smartphones in the world. Its dimensions are 179.4 x 92.2 x 6.5mm whereas Mega 6.3’s dimensions are 167.6 x 88 x 8mm. Z Ultra weighs 212g and Mega 6.3 weighs 199g. Z Ultra’s highly responsive screen lets you write on its screen with a pencil.
Sony made the Z Ultra dust proof and water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 min. Both the smartphones come in black, white and purple colors.
Z Ultra has a 6.4-inch capacitive touchscreen with triluminous display. This Full HD waterproof smartphone has a shatter proof-scratch resistant glass protects its screen. Galaxy Mega 6.3, as its name says, has a 6.3-inch SC-LCD capacitive touchscreen.
Hardware & Software
Both the giants run with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. A Li-Ion 3050 mAh battery fuels Z Ultra whereas Mega 6.3 comes with a Li-Ion 3200 mAh battery.
Xperia Z Ultra has 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 64GB) and 2GB RAM. Galaxy Mega 6.3 is available in 8GB/16GB internal memory with 2GB RAM.
Both the Z Ultra and Mega 6.3 have an 8MP rear camera but Ultra lacks an LED Flash. Z Ultra has a 2MP front camera whereas Mega 6.3 comes with 1.9MP front camera.
Xperia Z Ultra is a bit larger and some smartphone users may not feel comfortable while holding it.
