Sony Xperia M and Xperia M Dual will be launched in the third quarter of 2013. Both are expected to be cost effective smartphones for emerging telecom markets.
Sony Mobile would offer both Sony Xperia M and Xperia M Dual to Indian phone consumers who are looking for their first steps into the world of Xperia smartphones.
The company is yet to announce the price of the two new phones.
Xperia M Dual version comes with some innovation.
For instance, the dual SIM variant called Xperia M Dual allows mobile phone users to customize each SIM separately. For example, they can set a formal ring for business or another tune for pleasure. This is the ideal phone when users want to separate work from play, and handle calls more efficiently.
User can also select between two SIMs before making a call or sending a message with just a single click.
Though these are the new variant of Xperia range, there are some differences between Xperia M and Xperia M Dual.
Xperia M runs on Google Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) against Google Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) for Xperia M Dual.
Both the smartphones are on 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8227 dual core processor.
5MP camera is part of the both smartphones which will have 4-inch screen.
4 GB internal memory will be provided with both smartphones.
Xperia M and Xperia M Dual support 2G and 3G networks.
1750 mAh battery is availability with both Xperia M and Xperia M Dual smartphones.
Both smartphones offer talk time of up to 10 hours 16 minutes in 2G networks. Standby time for 2G networks will be 498 hours for Xperia M and 428 hours for Xperia M Dual smartphone.
