Samsung Galaxy Mega, a new addition to Samsung’s Galaxy family is launched with two different sizes: 5.8 and 6.3 inches.
These are Samsung’s largest phones in the Galaxy series.
Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 inch is priced at Rs 25,100 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 inch is priced at Rs 31,490.
GizmoLead.com’s device review correspondent Anand B’s sharing some of the key differences between the two big smartphones.
Mega 5.8’ has 5.8-inch QHD TFT display, while Mega 6.3’ has 6.3-inch HD Super Clear LCD display. Mega 5.8’s dimensions are 162.6 x 82.4 x 9.0 mm and Mega 6.3’s dimensions are 167.6 x 88 x 8.0 mm. The 6.3’ phone is little-bit heavier than the 5.8’ version. (199g and 182g respectively).
Both are powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
But Galaxy Mega 6.3’ uses 1.7GHz and Mega 5.8’ uses 1.4GHz (Dual Core Processor).
Both the phones have common sensors – Accelerometer, Geomagnetic, Proximity, Light and Gyroscope.
Many pre-installed features are present in both the phones.
Some of them include Group Play, Story Album, S Translator, ChatON, WatchON, etc.
Mega 6.3’ is fueled by a Li-ion 3,200 mAh battery, while the 5.8’ inch version is fueled by a Li-ion 2,600 mAh battery. Samsung has provided 16GB internal storage for Mega 6.3’ whereas 8GB internal storage for Mega 5.8’. Both are provided with 1.5GB RAM.
Both the smartphones have 8MP primary and 1.9 MP secondary camera. There are many camera features provided with these phones — Auto, Beauty Face, Best Photo, Best Face, Continuous Shot, Best face, Sound & Shot, Rich Tone and Panorama.
