HTC One Max vs HTC One: shell out Rs 9,500 more

The main difference between HTC One Max that comes with a price of Rs 56,490 and HTC One which costs Rs 46,999 is the increased screen size and enhanced battery, among other things. But you need to shell out an additional Rs 9,500 to procure HTC One Max comparing with HTC One.

Size matters for smartphone buyers. The 5.9 inch HTC One Max is going to be smartphone and tablet for HTC. HTC one has a screen size of 4.7-inch.

HTC One Max has finger print scanner to ensure security. You have seen this feature in Apple iPhone 5s as well.

HTC One did not assist the Taiwanese devices vendor to reach the top 5 smartphone market share chart globally. The loss making company is now making an effort to increase revenue market share with its latest premium phone.

Interestingly, HTC did not change the CPU of HTC One Max. Both HTC One Max and HTC One come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7GHz quad-core processor. But comparing with HTC One mini, the processor of HTC One Max is better. HTC One mini features Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.4GHz quad-core processor.

The phone vendor is also not making any special efforts on storage. HTC One Max sports storage of 16GB / 32GB as compared with HTC One’s storage of 32GB/64GB. The small version of HTC One has a storage of 16 GB.

Also, there’s no change in the RAM. HTC One Max features 2GB RAM against 2 GB DDR2 at HTC One. HTC One mini, as the name suggested, has 1GB DDR2 RAM.

If you spend Rs 56,490, your HTC One Max provides 4MP rear camera and 2.1 MP front camera.

HTC One which costs Rs 46,999 in the Indian mobile market also features 4MP rear camera and 2.1 MP front camera.

HTC One mini will not excite you because the front camera is 1.6 MP, while the rear camera is the same for all these three phones.

Implementing changes in battery is not easy. HTC One Max to support its large display has 3300 mAh embedded rechargeable Li-polymer battery, offering better talk time. It offers a talk time of up to 25 hours for WCDMA and up to 28 hours for CDMA. Standby time claimed by the device vendor is up to 585 hours for WCDMA and up to 393 hours for CDMA.

HTC One features 2300 mAh embedded rechargeable Li-polymer battery, offering talk time of up to 18 hours for 3G, while it offers standby time of up to 500 hours for 3G.

HTC One mini comes with 1800 mAh embedded rechargeable Li-polymer battery with a talk time of up to 13.27 hours for 3G and standby time of up to 692 hours for 3G.
