HTC has announced the HTC Vive Pro on March 19. The Head Mounted Display (HMD) VR will be available at $799 as the pre-orders already started. The shipping will start from April 5.
The company is also giving six free months of HTC’s Viveport subscription for the users who purchase the Vive Pro by June 3. According to the company, consumers can choose up to 5 titles per month from the more than 400 titles available.
It is worth mentioning that Vive Pro was earlier unveiled at CES 2018. The device sports dual-OLED displays with 2880 x 1600 resolution. Notably, the current Vice has a resolution of 1080 x 1200. The company claims that it is a 78% increase in resolution over the current Vive.
HTC Vive Pro also comes with headphones with a built-in amplifier and a head strap that tightens through the dial. It works with both SteamVR Tracking 1.0 and 2.0.
Meanwhile, HTC has reduced the price of current Vive by $100, it now costs $499.
